FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
On the first day, we explore the most impressive archaeological sites: Pisac, famous for its agricultural terraces and artisan market, and Ollantaytambo, the living Inca city. In the late afternoon, we board the train from Ollantaytambo station directly to Aguas Calientes, saving you unnecessary travel time back to Cusco.
You will spend the night at a selected hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). This offers a strategic advantage, as you will be just a 25-minute bus ride from the citadel. It allows you to be among the first to enter Machu Picchu the next morning, well-rested and without the fatigue of a long journey from Cusco.
We recommend traveling with only a small backpack (max 5-8 kg / 11-17 lbs) for these two days. Your main luggage can be stored safely at your hotel in Cusco (most hotels offer this service for free). Please note that trains have strict space restrictions, and large backpacks are not permitted inside the Machu Picchu citadel.
Yes. Our itinerary includes a delicious buffet lunch featuring the best of Peruvian cuisine in the heart of the valley, in the town of Urubamba.
