Cusco City Tour
Discover the magic of Cusco
The majestic city of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, is a living museum where every street and monument tells the story of the fascinating fusion of two great cultures. Its colonial temples, built atop imposing Inca palaces, preserve a historical legacy that is unique in the world.
Although words cannot fully capture the magic of its streets, our Cusco City Tour is the perfect way to discover it. We invite you to immerse yourself in the grandeur of its most iconic sites: from the mystical precision of Sacsayhuamán and the opulence of Qorikancha to the artistic splendor of the Cathedral. More than just a tour, this is the perfect introduction and a must-see on your journey to the heart of the Andes. Let yourself be amazed by its history and tradition!
ITINERARY
Our tour begins at Cusco Cathedral, an architectural gem where European Baroque style intertwines with the indigenous worldview. Inside, you’ll marvel at gold-plated altarpieces and masterpieces from the renowned Cusco School, including the painting of the Lord of the Earthquakes, the city’s revered patron saint.
We continue the tour to the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun). Here, you’ll be amazed by its imposing Inca walls of perfectly polished stone, now embraced by the Convent of Santo Domingo. This site is a vivid reflection of the fusion of two worlds that transformed Andean history.
Finally, we will head to the hills surrounding the city to explore the nearby monumental archaeological sites.
We will visit Sacsayhuamán, famous for its walls of enormous megalithic stones that defy time; Q’enqo, a sacred sanctuary carved into the rock; and we will conclude the day by visiting Puka Pukara and Tambomachay, ancient sites used for control, ceremonies, and the worship of water.
