ITINERARY
The adventure begins early in the morning with hotel pickup in Cusco. After a scenic drive through the Andes, we will enjoy a box breakfast before arriving at Pacchanta, the starting point of the hike.
From there, we begin an unforgettable trek through breathtaking mountain scenery surrounded by glaciers, wetlands and herds of alpacas.
During the hike, we will visit the seven stunning lagoons:
- Azulcocha
- Otorongo
- Orco Otorongo
- Pucacocha
- Alqacocha
- Qomercocha
- Patacocha
Each lagoon features unique shades of turquoise, emerald green and deep blue, creating spectacular landscapes ideal for photography and relaxation.
After completing the trek, we will enjoy lunch surrounded by incredible mountain views before returning comfortably to Cusco.

Unlike Humantay Lake, which involves a steep uphill hike, the 7 Lakes of Ausangate trek is longer but mostly less demanding. You will also enjoy multiple colorful lagoons instead of a single destination.
The weather can be very cold and windy due to the proximity to glaciers. Warm clothing, gloves, a wool hat and a windproof jacket are highly recommended.
The Pacchanta hot springs visit is optional and depends on the available schedule. Bring swimwear and extra cash if you wish to enter.
