ITINERARY
Our Colca Canyon experience begins with an early pickup from your hotel in Arequipa at approximately 3:00 AM. We’ll set off toward Chivay, driving through stunning Andean landscapes while watching the sunrise over the massive Chachani Volcano.
After a heart-warming breakfast, we continue to the legendary Cruz del Condor Viewpoint. This is the highlight of the trip: a natural balcony where you will witness the majesty of the canyon and the flight of the Andean Condor—the largest flying bird in the world—soaring just meters away.
The journey continues with a cultural tour of the picturesque villages of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, where you’ll discover ancient pre-Inca terraces and colonial architecture. Before lunch, you can unwind at the natural hot springs, a perfect way to relax your muscles after the morning’s excitement.
After enjoying a local lunch in Chivay, we begin our return to Arequipa. Along the way, we’ll make strategic stops at Patapampa (the Volcano Viewpoint) and the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where you can spot wild vicuñas and alpacas. We expect to arrive back in the city between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
