ITINERARY
Our Andean expedition begins with a prompt pickup from your hotel in Arequipa at 06:00 AM. We’ll head northeast, crossing the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will stop to observe and photograph wild vicuñas. Around 10:30 AM, we will reach the surreal Imata Stone Forest. Your guide will lead you through these strange, wind-eroded rock formations, explaining the geological history of this alien-like landscape.
The adventure continues toward the Pillones Waterfalls, arriving at approximately 12:30 PM. We will begin a moderate descent to the base of the falls, where you can feel the mist of the cold Andean water and spot the vizcachas living among the cliffs. After time for photos and exploration, we’ll head to the local village of Imata for lunch. We expect to be back in Arequipa by 05:30 PM, concluding a day filled with natural wonder.
